The Institute maintains a strong connection to victims and survivors, recognizing their personal experiences and depending upon their support. The credibility of the Institute is enhaced by the ability and willingness of the staff to understand, address, and convey victims' concerns. Through frequent and open communication with victims and victim advocacy groups, presentation of the work of the Institute and topics important to the victim community, this goal is accomplished. The Institute aso provides referral assistance to victims who make contact through a toll free number.
